Ethics Policy

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
The International Journal of Physical Education, Sports and Holistic Development is dedicated to upholding the highest ethical standards throughout every stage of the publication process. All parties involved—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—must adhere to the following ethical principles to prevent malpractice and maintain the integrity of scholarly work in physical education, sports science, and holistic development.

1. Duties of Authors
Originality and Plagiarism:

Authors must submit only original research. The use of others’ ideas, data, or words must be properly cited and referenced. Plagiarism in any form—including self-plagiarism—is considered a serious ethical violation and is strictly prohibited.

Multiple Submissions:
Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time is unethical. Authors must ensure that their manuscript is not under review elsewhere when submitting to this journal.

Accuracy and Data Integrity:
Authors are responsible for presenting accurate and verifiable data related to physical education, sports performance, training interventions, or holistic well-being. Any manipulation, falsification, or misrepresentation of data or findings will result in rejection or retraction of the article.

Conflict of Interest:
Authors must disclose any financial or personal interests (e.g., sponsorship from sports brands, affiliations with training organizations) that may influence the results or interpretation of their research. Transparency in this regard is essential for maintaining academic trust.

2. Duties of Editors
Fair Play:

Editors will evaluate submitted manuscripts solely on the basis of academic merit, relevance to the journal’s scope, originality, and methodological soundness—regardless of the authors’ personal or institutional affiliations, race, gender, religion, or political views.

Confidentiality:
Editors are obligated to keep all manuscript-related information confidential and only share it with relevant editorial staff, peer reviewers, or the publisher as needed during the review process.

Conflict of Interest:
If editors have any potential conflicts of interest with a submitted manuscript (e.g., prior collaboration with the author, institutional conflict), they must withdraw from the review process and delegate the manuscript to an unbiased editor.

3. Duties of Reviewers
Confidentiality:

Manuscripts under review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers may not discuss or share them with unauthorized individuals.

Objectivity:
Reviews should be objective, constructive, and professional. Reviewers should aim to improve the quality of the manuscript and refrain from personal or biased remarks.

Acknowledgment of Sources:
Reviewers are expected to identify relevant published work that the authors may have missed and alert the editor if any part of the manuscript appears to be plagiarized or overlaps significantly with previously published work.

By committing to these ethical responsibilities, all contributors help the International Journal of Physical Education, Sports and Holistic Development maintain a transparent, fair, and trustworthy academic environment for advancing knowledge in the fields of physical education, sports science, and holistic well-being.
